Cascades School merged the elements of a school and a home. This home is more than just a concept; it is a place where children will feel accepted, acknowledged and validated.
Cascades School shows genuine care and respect for the needs and capabilities of the child and their family. A relationship similar to home where the child will feel accepted, acknowledged, and validated. The school's core is practical, innovative, and accepting of the changes and needs of everyone in the "community." The school is viewed as a support or a solution so children can genuinely find joy in learning and see themselves as valuable active citizens in their communities. They will become more than prepared for whatever is next in their lives: grade school, high school, college, workforce, or community service.

The Cascades Curriculum is centered around equipping students with the knowledge and understanding of sustainable development. Our students are exposed to hands-on experiences that encourage them to build, innovate, and create. By emphasizing the value of work, resources, money, and time, our curriculum instills a sense of responsibility and purpose in our students.
The Curriculum will emphasize collaboration and community involvement. Our students engage in real-world projects that make a tangible impact on our local community through inclusive and collaborative learning environments, we aim to nurture active citizenship and social responsibility.
Cascades School aims to produce independent learners by promoting
An educational philosophy wherein there are three educators; the teacher, the child and the environment. Children are active participators in their own learning and teachers encourage child initiated activities. Learning is done through multiple ways a child can learn.

BATANG PINOY FILIPINO CULTURE AND TRADITION

Every child is an artist, an explorer, a creator, and a competent learner. Every child is viewed as strong, passionate, and resilient. Each one a contributing member of the community and given equal rights.
The Reggio inspired classroom setting is designed for children to interact, be connected, and build relationships. Self-directed manipulatives and materials allow the children to be more open and flexible in the different ways of learning.
The layout of the physical space fosters encounters, communication, and relationships. The environment is designed to encourage kids to learn independently. The environment will teach the children that each individual is an important part of a bigger community.
Teachers are seen as researchers learning along with the children through exchanges and negotiations. Teachers will use the inquiry-based approach to bring out the interest of the children, and motivate them to discover more.
Activities are compiled in albums for each program which guides teachers and caregivers on the children's level and skill. The exhibits and portfolios put together by the children makes them feel that their works are appreciated when displayed and shared.
Every child has hundred different ways of learning with numerous ways of showing the cognitive and symbolic expressions of their learning processes. Instead of prepackaged knowledge, their hundred languages will be tapped and utilized in their education.

My name is Irene, a teacher and a mother to three beautiful children: Aeon, Sage and Raven.
When my husband and I decided to have kids, the teacher in me began thinking about the school I wanted for my children.
As children, we develop our early sensibilities towards the world from home. As an educator, I realized the school's role in the development of these sensibilities. This became the key inspiration to build Cascades School by merging the elements of a house, school and home.
At Cascades, our house is more than a structure; it is a space where children will feel safe and comfortable to explore. Our school goes beyond prepackaged education; it respects the many ways a child can learn. Our home is more than a concept; it is a place where children will feel accepted, acknowledged and validated.
We have so much to offer and we are so proud to welcome you at Cascades School!
In our house, you will find well-designed facilities that ensure enriching experiences for children and parents alike. It provides areas for parents to work, relax and foster new friendships. In our school, you will find the most passionate teachers and staff, trained and equipped to provide children with the best education to help them succeed in life. In our home, you will find unique services, such as the in-school baby-sitting program. It provides help for parents by following the child's routine at home within a healthy community.
Here you will find all types of learners, welcoming children with special needs. We promote diversity, celebrate individuality and respect every child's learning process.
At Cascades School, you will find a second home, the kind of school I want my own children to be in.
